Confidentiality

As a mediator and person of trust, I am bound by professional secrecy – what is discussed in the mediation room stays there.

Neutrality

As an independent mediator, I stand beside all parties equally. This ensures that every perspective is heard.

Legal foundation

As an attorney, I make sure that the agreements reached also stand up to legal reality in the long term.

Your self-determination

You stay in control of pace, content and outcome at all times. No agreement without your explicit consent.

What is mediation?

Together.
Without court.

Mediation is a structured method for resolving conflicts and developing agreements. It is used when your own efforts to find a solution no longer lead anywhere. As a mediator, I support and guide you in working out a solution together. The process is voluntary, confidential and ends only with an agreement that all parties explicitly accept.

When is mediation the right choice?

Communication has broken down

When conversations escalate or fall silent – mediation creates space again.

The relationship should be preserved

Where people will have to get along in the future, lasting agreements and solutions based on mutual respect matter most.

Save time and money

Compared to court proceedings that often last for years, mediation saves valuable resources. You reach a solution that works for everyone more efficiently.

Maintain confidentiality

No public record, no case file – everything stays between us.

Why mediation?

Mediation vs. court proceedings

Two paths – one conflict. Choose the one that truly fits you.

How mediation works

The process in 5 phases

01

Clarifying the assignment

Together we define how we will work in the process, clarify expectations and agree on binding ground rules. This creates a reliable and confidential framework from the very start.

02

Collecting topics

All parties name, undisturbed, all topics and concerns that matter to them personally. I make sure that every point is heard and recorded.

03

Clarifying interests and needs

Behind every position lie deeper needs. Making them visible is the decisive step – and often the turning point of the conversation.

04

Finding solutions

Together we develop concrete solution options. I guide this process in a structured and open-ended way.

05

Final agreement

The agreement reached is put in writing. As an attorney, I ensure that the agreement is clear, complete and legally sound.

Manuel Megias, attorney and mediator

About me

Manuel Megias

Attorney · Mediator

Throughout my career, I have had the opportunity to experience and accompany conflicts from many different angles – whether from the perspective of a court, a law firm or inside a company. My mediation training has shown me clearly: an agreement that the parties work out themselves resolves conflicts and disputes far more sustainably than almost any judgment.

Bringing people from different backgrounds to one table and giving them the space to develop a solution on their own – that is my passion and my promise to you. By combining legal diligence with empathetic and structured facilitation, we can develop comprehensive solutions that hold up legally and work on a human level.

Frequently asked questions

Explained briefly

What does mediation cost?
The hourly rate is CHF 240. The parties agree among themselves how the costs are split.
Do you have legal protection insurance? Please check in advance whether your insurer covers the costs.
Are you in a difficult financial situation? Feel free to speak to me openly in the initial consultation.

How likely is mediation to succeed?
If the parties commit to mediation, the likelihood of reaching a joint final agreement is very high.
Across industries, the statistical success rate lies between 70% and 90%.
What happens if mediation does not succeed?
If mediation fails, the legal route remains fully open to you.
The parties can try mediation again at any time.
